Pahoa Town Christmas Parade 2015

MAI

What a hot day it was in Pahoa town where keiki of all ages lined the main street to get a glimpse of the fun and ecclectic sight. Here are the highlights. Started out with a musical beat with the VFW Auxilary...

and the Hawaii County Marching Band.

I was fortunate to be above it all in the Puna Style building. Thanks Deb and Al for the pic!

I'm diggin' this view!

The Malamalama Waldorf kids decorated a trailer with palm fronds and greenery.

Great Futures Start Here with the Boys and Girls Club Big Island.

Our hard working Senator from Puna, Russell Ruderman.

Pahoa Elementary looked so festive... happy group.

Even the pre-school keiki were having fun riding in their "Peace Train."

All of the areas of our famous Red Road were represented.

VIDEO: The Hiccup Circus jugglers from SPACE were on hand to wow the crowd.

The good folks at Hawaii National Volcanoes park were on hand to represent ...

to hand out candy to the keiki.

I loved the Resilient Pahoa Float. Go Pahoa.

Give it up for our Neighborhood Watch Patrol.

Hawaii Horse Owners made a good showing.

The Hare Krishna girls sang and danced while the older ones pulled the float...

...Which turned out to be one of the most elaborate ones in the parade.

Pahoa Chiropractics had a great float with a giant skeleton riding on top.

VIDEO: The Hula Hoopers did their thing the entire length of the parade!

A cute showing from our favorite Mexican Restaurant, Luquins.

There were Bunnies...

... and even a baby goat for extra cuteness.

I'm not sure what this float was all about, but they looked like they were having a great time.

VIDEO:The long awaited hula dancers are always a treat to watch. Lucky we live Hawaii!

A becoming float with colorful Ti plants for Island Naturals Groceries.

Another young group of hula dancers...

... with their ukulele accompaniment.

And last, but certainly not least, Santa Claus has arrived in Pahoa Town. It's officially the Holiday Season. Aloha!
