Lava Viewing Area Pahoa, Hawaii

MAI

Today is the first day that the public has been invited to view the lava flow from a designated area. Earlier visitors were the Pahoa area school kids, who were displaced by the impending lava, and also the Press & journalists from all over the world.

Next I went to Malama Market for the last time. They are closing their doors and packing up! Many town folk were taking advantage of 50% off savings throughout the store. Felt so sad for the workers. Many of them don't have new jobs yet. Even though we all know it's coming, it still seems too fast, too unreal. Our little town is changing.
